FAQ:

Why should I use UltraSeal?

The average cost per puncture (based on downtime, emergency call and tire repair) = $400.00.  Stop Flats can save companies with multiple work vehicles thousands of dollars a year.

How does UltraSeal repair tire damage?

•  Escaping air pulls polyaramid fibers contained in
UltraSeal towards the damage, where the fibers fill and cap up the hole. •  The rotating tire's centrifugal force and the flexing of the tire as the contact patch meets and leaves the road surface drives additional fibers and congeal ants into the injury. •  Once the hole is completely closed, a curing action creates a plug similar to rubber.  The cure is permanent and will flex and bend like rubber.

How does UltraSeal Tire Sealant extend tire life?

An under-inflated tire flexes excessively where it meets the road. Flexing generates heat, which can damage the tire casing.
UltraSeal Tire Protector extends tire life by maintaining proper tire pressure.

How does UltraSeal Tire Protector help reduce fuel costs?

Under-inflated tires increase a vehicle’s rolling resistance, reducing fuel economy quite significantly.
UltraSeal reduces fuel costs by keeping tires properly inflated.

How long does UltraSeal Tire Protector last?

UltraSeal will function for the life of the tire; provide that it is not contaminated in any manner.

In what range of air temperatures does UltraSeal Tire Protector work?

UltraSeal is designed to operate at temperatures of –52 °C to +112 °C.  Below –52 °C, UltraSeal will not harden or adhere to the tire. It will first become slushy and with lower temperatures turn into crystals. However this is not a permanent change; once the tire rotates for a short period, UltraSeal Tire Extender material will liquefy.

Can a tire treated with UltraSeal Tire Protector be recapped?

Yes. In fact,
UltraSeal will maintain a much healthier casing for recapping. UltraSeal is water-soluble and can be simply rinsed out with cold water for re-casing or major repair procedures.

Does installing UltraSeal void the tire manufacturer’s warranty?

No. UltraSeal does not affect the tire manufacturer’s warranty.

Is UltraSeal safe?

Can UltraSeal repair sidewall damage?

It depends on the size of the sidewall puncture. The standard product will protect up to a ¼” puncture, however UltraSeal works best on the tread area where most tire injuries occur. Is It Necessary To Remove The Object That Punctures The Tire? Yes. The action of removing the object activates the sealing process and as well permits therubber from the puncture seal the area permanently.

Why Is UltraSeal Tire Protector Better Than Other Sealant Products?

UltraSeal is the number one supplier for the US Government as well as many major companies around the world. It is approved by the Department of Defense and is listed in the GSA, as atire protective sealant.

What Maintenance Is Required With UltraSeal?

None. Once the application is done UltraSeal protect and maintain your tires. Tires must be ingood condition, and balanced from the start. UltraSeal does not substitute the rotation of tires. This should be completed as recommended by the vehicles manual.

Could UltraSeal conceal a potentially dangerous puncture?

In sealing punctures greater than 3/8”
UltraSeal allows a gradual loss of air providing more time for the driver to bring the vehicle to a controlled stop. UltraSeal actually enhances driver safety.

Does UltraSeal Corrode Steel Belts Or Rims?

NO!
UltraSeal contains extremely effective anti-corrosion additives that eliminate any potential for damage to any metal part of the tire or tire assembly.  UltraSeal keeps the tires air inside but alsoprevents foreign contaminants from entering and damaging the tire.

Will UltraSeal cause balance or vibrations problems?

No. As long as the tires are properly balanced and there are no pre-existing problems with the balance, suspension or alignment of the vehicle, there will not be any change in the vehicles performance. UltraSeal will not prevent mechanical problems associated with road conditions or driving habits.

Can tires treated with UltraSeal be repaired?

Yes. In the event that a puncture is larger than the capacity of the product, to repair simply requires a wiping the puncture area with a damp cloth, let dry and repair. UltraSeal does not contain any solvents that will disrupt the integrity of the patch, should one be required.

Why Is UltraSeal Better Than A Rubber Patch?

1.) UltraSeal is a preventative measure while a patch is done after the fact. After the fact invariably means after the cost, downtime, lost of business, inconvenience and risk to safety has already happened. Using UltraSeal makes a lot of sense for a lot of reasons.
2.) A patch is a repair that is performed after the tire has gone flat and in most cases has been driven flat for some distance. Driving on a flat tire even for a short distance will create extensive internal damage that is irreversible and can easily go unnoticed by the repairman.
